Ramsgate Beaches (Western Undercliffe & Sands)

Ramsgate Main Sands Beach is backed by chalk cliffs and close to the pretty harbour. It's very popular for swimming, sailing, jet skiing, wind surfing and power boating - zoning is in place for water sports. There are also plenty of traditional seaside amusements for children, including a fishing area. Rock pools, kelp beds and chalk caves provide great habitats for a variety of seaside creatures. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag and is Marine Conservation Society Recommended. Western Undercliff is altogether quieter and more secluded, for swimming, sailing and fishing. It is also Marine Conservation Society Recommended.
