West Sandwick Beach is a white sandy beach located on the west side of the Isle of Yell, near the town of Lerwick, Shetland Islands, Scotland. The bay includes a distinctive shingle spit known as the Urabug. It is backed by inclined dunes and looks out above the rocky waters towards the principal isle of Shetland. The beach is cleaned regularly throughout the swimming season. It holds a Seasise Award from Keep Scotland Beautiful. It presents some rocky outcrops to seek and burn crosses the beach to the sea.
