Talla Reservoir is a dam opened in 1899 and is situated in the hills, near Tweedsmuir, not far from Moffat, Scottish Borders, Scotland. It is an earth-work dam supplied by Talla Water, an affluent of the Tweed. A little bridge nearly amazes and while it is about a half mile from the reservoir, the downward sight is great. The reservoir makes an important item of the water supply for Edinburgh. Its length as maximum is about 12.1 km (2.5 mi), and the maximum depth (close to the dam) is about 24,4 m (80 feet).
