About Loch Lubnaig

Loch Lubnaig is located between Ben Ledi and Ben Vorlich, near Callender, in Stirling, Scotland. It makes part of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The loch is about 5.6 km long (3.5 miles), 0.4 km wide (0.25 miles) and its maximum depth is about 70 metres (230 feet). It is fed by the River Balvaig and drained by the Garbh Uisge. Fishing is possible from the shore - bait, fly and spinning. The loch is rich in salmon, but brown trout, sea trout, perch and char can be catched, too. It is a perfect spot for a picnic thanks to the fact that, along the loch, there are some nice beaches for barbecue. Canoes can be rented.
