About Cheesewring

Cheesewring is a granite free standing rock outcrop in Cornwall, England. It can be located on the eastern side of Bodmin Moor on Stowe's Hill in the village of Linkinhorne. Being situated near to the Cheesewring Quarry, the rock was threatened with demolition in the 19th century by the proximity of blasting operations. Reaching the landmark requires a gentle walk along an old mine track and a climb up around the edge of the quarry. It offers stunning views, you can see it from miles around.
