About Bracklinn Falls

About Bracklinn Falls

Bracklinn Falls are a series of falls to the north east of Callander, on the river Keltie Water, where it crosses the Highland Boundary Fault. They are set within a deep wooded gorge, around 20m (66ft) across. A relatively new footbridge spans the gorge, replacing the old steel bridge which was washed away by the falls in 2004 by severe flooding. This provides an excellent view of the raging waters directly below.

There is a 5.25km (3.25mi) circular walk in the area of the falls with good access for the less mobile, although close to the water itself, the terrain can be slippery and wet with steep drops.
