Try out one of the UK's fastest growing watersports and go paddleboarding on the iconic River Thames. Ideal for someone who isn't afraid to get wet, learn all the essential paddleboarding basics from an experienced and friendly instructor. After a safety briefing, get to grips with prone paddling, board handling techniques, self-rescue, foot position, standing up and board control. When you're a little more confident, take a short trip along the River Thames, taking in some of the beautiful sights of the famous waterway. It's a must try for any watersports enthusiast.
Runs at least one weekday per month throughout the year, with additional weekend dates May - October. With group bookings of four or more, extra dates may be available.
This experience is only ever cancelled in extreme weather conditions. If in doubt, please call before setting off. In the event of a cancellation, an alternative date can be arranged.
Numbers On Day
Share the experience with up to seven other keen paddleboarders, plus a qualified instructor.
Bring a swimming costume, towel, old trainers or watersports shoes, waterproof sun block, sunglasses and clothing (suitable for weather on the day).
Minimum age is 16. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres unaided and are asked to sign a medical declaration on the day.
