Paddleboarding is fun, exciting and one of the UK's fastest growing watersports. For watersport lovers who are game for trying new and challenging adventures, this paddleboarding lesson at London's Paddington Basin is just the ticket. Learn paddleboarding basics including prone paddling, board handling techniques, self-rescue, foot position, standing up and board control from a seasoned instructor with several years experience. You'll soon be up and paddling like a pro (well, almost), then you can go on to enjoy a guided trip along the Paddington Basin. Soak in some of picturesque sights including a number of rather impressive boats, canal barges and local landmarks. Essential fun for a pair of aquatic adventurers.
Runs at least one weekday per month throughout the year, with additional weekend dates May - October. With group bookings of four or more, extra dates may be available.
This experience is only ever cancelled in extreme weather conditions. If in doubt, please call before setting off. In the event of a cancellation, an alternative date can be arranged.
Numbers On Day
Share the experience with up to six other keen paddleboarders, plus a qualified instructor.
Each bring a swimming costume, towel, old trainers or watersports shoes, waterproof sun block, sunglasses and clothing (suitable for weather on the day).
Minimum age is 16. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres unaided and are asked to sign a medical declaration on the day.
